Watchnight Service December 2020 at Baldhu Chapel

 

TO ALL FRIENDS AND SUPPORTERS OF BILLY BRAY'S CHAPEL

 

YOU WILL HAVE RECENTLY RECEIVED FROM ME AN E-MAIL SAYING THAT OWING TO THE PANDEMIC THERE WILL BE NO WATCH NIGHT SERVICE AT BILLY BRAY'S CHAPEL THIS YEAR AS WE WOULD BE UNABLE TO OBSERVE SOCIAL DISTANCING HAVING ONE NARROW CENTRAL CORRIDOR FOR ACCESS.  HOWEVER THE TRUSTEES OF BALDHU CHAPEL HAVE KINDLY OFFERED TO HOLD THIS SERVICE INSTEAD AS THEY ARE ABLE TO CARRY OUT THE NECESSARY CONDITIONS.  SUBJECT TO ANY FURTHER GOVERNMENT RESTRICTIONS THERE WILL THEREFORE BE A WATCH NIGHT SERVICE AT BALDHU CHAPEL STARTING AT 11.30PM ON THURSDAY 31st DECEMBER TO WHICH ALL ARE WELCOME.

 

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DO NOT KNOWW WHERE BALDHU CHAPEL IS - CONTINUE  ALONG THE BALDHU ROAD EASTWARD (TOWARDS CARNON DOWNS) PASSING BRAYS CHAPEL ON YOUR RIGHT FOR ABOUT A FURTHER MILE.  ON YOUR LEFT YOU WILL SEE A SIGN SAYING 'WHEAL JANE' TO THE RIGHT..  TAKE THIS RIGHT HAND TURNING.  THE CHAPEL IS ON YOUR RIGHT IMMEDIATLEY AFTER A DOUBLE BEND.  THE POST CODE IF YOU HAVE A SATNAV IS:  TR3.6ED

Billy Bray Memorial Trust - October Update

 

TO ALL THE FRIENDS AND SUPPORTERS OF BILLY BRAY'S CHAPEL.

 

The Trustees sincerely regret that in order to act responsibly in preventing the spread of the Coronavirus there will not be a Harvest Thanksgiving Service at Billy Bray's Chapel this October (18th 2020) -  neither will there be a Christmas Concert on 6th December 2020.   

 

We pray that none of you has contracted the virus and that you and your families are all in good health.  When it comes to Christmas we hope that you will all have as good a celebration as the circumstances permit. .

 

With regard to Watch Night Service on 31st December 2020 this is still in abeyance and will depend upon Government recommendations.  Please look at Press Adverts nearer the time (West Briton/Cornish Guardian /Cornishman). We also anticipate sending you e-mails to confirm one way or the other.

 

Depending upon the prevailing situation we hope to be able to open the Chapel again in 2021.
